Go Green!
Not sure what to do with that old computer or television? Where can you go to clean out books that you’ve finished reading? How about that box of clothing? Be sure to mark your calendar for October 17th, 2009 from 9:00 AM – 1:00 PM for our BLACK AND WHITE GOES GREEN EVENT.
The elementary librarians are pleased to extend an invitation to all residents of the South Western community to join in our district-wide green event. This green fair is planned to assist the residents of our district learn about the many resources in the community where one can go to donate or recycle unwanted materials. We are fortunate to have many local businesses and non-profit agencies join us in this initiative and welcome residents to start packing up those boxes to donate to the various stations.
Visit the South Western Home Page and click on the icon for BLACK AND WHITE GOES GREEN to learn more about what items will be accepted for donation for reuse or recycling. We look forward to seeing many residents join in the day to reduce – reuse – recycle – and rethink where to go with unwanted materials. This event is hosted in conjunction with the district-wide elementary library program’s “Get Your Green on @ Your Library” initiative.
